All of life is worship. As a body, weekly worship gatherings provide a rhythm that helps fuel holistic worship in all aspects of our lives. Our worship gatherings are guided by four fundamental principles…
Worship is not for spectators, but participators. We do our best to make space for full participation of the body through the singing of songs, spontaneous times of prayer, testimonies, and even dialogue within the sermon. The high point of full-body participation in worship each week takes place as we all gather around the table to celebrate communion.
All of our worship is a response to the good news of Jesus’ life, death, burial, and resurrection. Every week, we center ourselves on the Scriptures to actively listen to the gospel as it shapes our lives and draws us into intimacy with Jesus.
God is ultimately in charge of our worship gatherings. Our desire is to constantly be led by the Holy Spirit to worship in spirit and in truth.
The Holy Spirit does not draw attention to himself, but exalts Jesus Christ. So if our worship is Spirit-led, we will naturally be led to exalt Christ. Our desire is to constantly lift Jesus high and point to him as the only hope for the world to be reconciled to God.
Come worship with us this Sunday at 10:30am, 160 Oxmoor Road Homewood, Alabama 35209.
